AboutI began my career in Radio in 1988 as a presenter on Radio DRH (Devonshire Royal Hospital), and after a fellow presenter said that I would never make it as a mobile DJ, I took up the challenge and spent the next 11 years playing YMCA to every Bride and office party in the area! In 1995, I attended Salford University taking an HND in Media Performance and subsequently a BA (hons) Degree in Performing Arts. I went on to perform in a variety of plays including a performance of Head (don’t ask) at the Greenwich Theatre in London. In 1999 I began presenting on Radio Buxton, an RSL station which was granted a full Licence in 2004 as High Peak Radio where I am currently the drivetime presenter. I have been voicing commercials since Radio Buxton, and have taught voice and acting techniques to hundreds of students. This has enabled me to refine my own voice and to achieve many different styles including characters and accents. This, combined with spending three years in radio sales dealing with customers and commercial production houses, gives me an understanding of exactly what your client needs - from demos to making last minute changes.
